I've never seen this brought up before, and I'm not trying to be crude, but
I've wondered several times just how his father and mother got together. We
know that giants are around 20-25 feet tall, the giants seem to be pretty
wild, and they're isolated. How would a giantess and a tiny little
good-natured man like Hagrid's dad start hanging out together, much less
procreate?

Was he into mountain climbing? Did he have a handy little accomodation
spell like Piers Anthony uses in one of his Xanth books?
