This is news to me. Could it possibly have anything to do with the mind
altered substances were you taking at the time you viewed the movie?

All kidding aside, after this the third year of applying a scar to Daniel
Radcliffe's forehead; I am positive that the make-up people are pretty damn
sure of where it goes.

Eh, you're both not quite right. imdb has a list of "goofs" for the POA
movie:
http://imdb.com/title/tt0304141/goofs

Short version: After the boggart, we're seeing Harry in a mirror.
If there's more switches, you can submit them to IMDB if you want.

Continuity: When Sirius lies by the lake with Harry and the Dementors, a
side shot shows him opening his eyes suddenly as he regains consciousness.
But in the next shot from above, when Harry looks up, Sirius is unconscious
again.

I can explain that one.

When someone is unconcious due to a winding or a blow to the chest and then
takes a really deep breath, their eyes are forced open. They are still
unconcious, and their eyes will close again.

I know this because I've got a fainting disorder. It happens to me a lot. I
faint onto something hard (read: table, box, stair railing) and then while
I'm still unconscious, my eyes will open when I breathe in. That's not so
much a goof as good acting.

I'll have to watch the movie again, but I'm sure there was another
scene where I noticed it was on the wrong side.

<deep sigh> From IMDB:

"Incorrectly regarded as goofs: After the class has finished dealing
with the boggart, Harry's scar appears to be on the wrong side. We are
seeing his reflection in the mirror on the door of the wardrobe that
holds the boggart."

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0304141/goofs.

Besides that, I've seen the scar where it has always been.
OTOH, the books don't say exactly where the scar is, right or left,
so, how can it be a mistake?

the books, (as I recall can't look it up just now, correct me if I'm
wrong) say that Harry's scar is actually in the center of his
forehead.

Okay, you're wrong. The book never states the exact location of the scar,
only that it is thin, shaped like a lightning bolt and on his forehead,
nothing more. The reason that most people believe that Harry's scar is in
the middle of his forehead is because of the illustrations.

If the books had said exactly where the scar was, then Chris Columbus
wouldn't have had to asked JK Rowling. He gave her a rough drawing of a face
and asked her to show him where the scar was. The reason that Daniel
Radcliffe has a scar put on the right-hand side of his forehead is because
that's where JKR says it is.

If that's ttue, then the scar is where it belongs. And it has been
there during the whole movie, which was the initial question.

Yes it is true and the scar is where it belongs and it doesn't move (unless
he is looking in a mirror, of course).
It took me a long time to get used to the shape of it. It looked more like a
letter 'N' then a lightning bolt, but JKR also gave Chris Columbus the
shape. So if she says that's where it is located and this is how it looks,
then what can you say? I got used to it.

Rumour goes, that Daniel has been operated to make the scar permanent,
to make sure the make up people couldn't possibly put it on the wrong
spot. Now the only have to hide it for the time the're not shooting, so
they don't need to remember where it is.

Sorry but I do not think that his family would allow that. I do not
know if the producer is his father but I do believe that he is at
least a relative

Surely by now it would be simpler for all concerned to use a soldering iron or
something to give Daniel Radcliffe a permanent scar?

Kidding! Bad joke, no offence intended, I'm kidding..!
