Why were the protective spells guarding the Sorcerer's Stone in the form of tests or riddles that anyone of sufficient cleverness could pass? I would have used spells that could be deactivated by passwords that only Dumbledore and Flamel would know! That way, Voldemort would have no way to get past!

Actually, the Stone would have been safer in Dumbeldore's sock drawer but then we wouldn't have a story.

Actually, the Stone would have been safer in Dumbeldore's sock drawer but then we wouldn't have a story.
Surely protecting the Stone is more important that having a story!

Why didn't Dumbledore just perform the Fidelis Charm on the Stone, with himself as the Secret Keeper? I defy Voldemort to get past that one!
