In the documentry The Magic Touch of Harry Potter it said that JK helped
with all the movies.. and the last little bit she said herself on camera
that anyone who has read the books would not be disappointed in the third
movie and that she's quite happy with it. I don't know what everyone's
complaining about. If she's happy with the third movie, then I think that
people are nit picking too much. The old director according to the show sat
in as a producer. He wouldn't let anything happen to his movie. Especially
since he's probably gonna direct the rest. I can't really say anything
about the movie cause I haven't seen it yet. But from what I understand
it's pretty good.

A lot of people like Potter. The one thing everyone at this group have in
common is that they like the books. However, opinions are still split on
the film. If we can disagree this strongly with each other on the films,
then there's no reason we can't disagree with Rowling.

Incidentally, I loved the film, and I don't agree with what most people are
calling "flaws". However, I still respect their opinions, and there's no
real point getting into an argument over whether the film's a good adaption
or not, since that opinion will vary so much.

For the record, I think it's a good compromise between being a Film and an
Adaption. It's not a film as such, since it lacks stuff like character
development and standard structure, and neither is it a pure adaption, since
it messes around with the concepts and plot, and includes things the book
does not. It's something I've never seen done to this degree before, and I
really like it. I understand, though, that the exact same things that make
me love it will make others hate it.

Incidentally, I didn't like Columbus's films, and I'll be annoyed if he DOES
direct the rest - he's certainly not directing Goblet, and it'd be strange
to get him back for the rest. I like the fact that he's still involved,
though, since it gives the films a little more unity than if they'd changed
the entire production team.

It's very much a Judge For Yourself deal.
