So, what tune did you have in your head during that song?

For me, it was "Farmer in the Dell".

This is one of the things that Jim Dale does really well in the
American audio books. The sorting hat song and Weasley Is Our King
really roll off his tongue well.

After hearing the audio, I took a look at my wife's printed copy, and
was frankly stumped as to how to come up with a tune/rhythm for the
song. Jim's version is now the one lodged in my cranium, probably for
all time.

Is it chanted or sung? What tune does he use (if sung)? An original
tune, or one we'd know?

I definately heard WioK chanted to a simple melody...
can't place it mind you... just a simple chant...

As far as I can tell, it's an original melody. It's quite catchy once you hear it.
