I have heard from JKR's site that Krookshanks is in fact half kneazle. Then
she plugs her book "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" (for charity),
but won't tell what a Kneazle is. Does anyone know?

Yes.

Considering that the book is for charity, how about buying the book,
if you want to know?

I'll plug the book, too, it's very cheap and fun to read, the proceeds
go to a worthy cause.

Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them, (pages 24 & 25)
The rest of the book is good, too, and it's full of stuff that could show
up as potion ingredients or comic relief. Well worth the money, I think.

My favorite parts are the "handwritten" marginal comments from the characters.

Particularly good is a note added to the entry about giant spiders that
confirms that Hogwarts is in Scotland, rather than England.
