Chamber of Secrets Movie: At the end, Harry gives the destroyed Riddle Diary back to Lucius Malfoy.

Half Blood Prince Movie: Dumbledore shows Harry the diary and tells him that it was a Horcrux (one of Voldemort's six Horcruxes). How can Dumbledore have the diary, when Harry had given it back to Lucius?

Dumbledore have the diary, when Harry had given it back to Lucius?

Lucius handed it to Dobby with the sock, after Lucius left. I would
suspect that Dobby gave it back to Harry and Harry gave it to Dumbledore
to study its properties.
